FAQs about the CEU Program

• What is a CEU?

  CEU = Continuing Education Unit

  A CEU is one hour of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instructors.

  For approved readings, one CEU is awarded for every 100 pages read.

• Who are required to complete CEUs?

  Ordained and licensed ministers and senior/lead pastors with a local minister’s license.

  Any credentialed minister who is a full-time student in a Bible college or participating in the School of Ministry for the purpose of receiving credentials will satisfy the CEU requirements for the period of time involved in their studies.

• How many CEUs are required?

  A total of 24 CEUs shall be completed annually.

• How are CEUs completed?

  CEUs are awarded by attending sponsored events from the IPHC Ministries Resource Development Center, SC Conference, and IPHC colleges. The conference office must approve any events and resources completed outside of the IPHC.

  The conference office has issued suggested readings. The conference office must approve any readings separate from this list.

  No more than 12 CEUs can be earned from reading, listening, or viewing DVDs or videos. The remaining CEUs must be earned from approved event attendance.

• When does the CEU program begin each year?

  The CEU year begins each January.

• Can I carry over CEUs from year-to-year?

  Unfortunately, no.

  Ministers with more than 24 CEUs cannot carry over the surplus CEUs to the next year.
