Job Description: Music Department Director / Worship Leader

Have clear direction from the Senior Pastor to carry out and support his vision.

Must be a skilled vocalist and/or musician.

Must have the ability to teach vocals to praise team and/or choir.

Ensure that your band has the proper tools to perform designated music.

Make sure that you communicate with the media, your expectations for each service.

Create an order of service for musicians, media, and pastors.

Provide the media department with the correct lyrics and needed videos.

Try to involve as many people as possible in your ministry, especially younger people in order to train the next generation.

Be in a constant pursuit of fresh music, while blending the old with the new.

One new song to teach for 2-3 weeks before introducing them to the congregation.

Seek opportunities for growth by attending leadership and worship workshops.

Be sure to have each segment of the worship service filled with something, to avoid dead space.

Develop guidelines and expectations for the music department that push for excellence.

Be sure to hold the music department members accountable to the said guidelines.

Not only lead your team to excellence in performance, be sure to encourage them in their spiritual walk through prayer and devotions.

Most importantly, maintain a personal lifestyle that exemplifies daily worship.

Stoneville PH Church is a multi-generational church with a passion for God’s presence.

Our ideal candidate will:

Lead worship from the piano or keyboard

Be comfortable leading a worship team and a choir in a Pentecostal worship environment.

Be open to everything from southern gospel to modern-day worship.

Weekly duties would include coordinating musicians, cultivating worship sets, and establishing an order of service in correlation with the Senior Pastor.

This position will provide oversight to all areas related to music ministry and will work closely with (and report directly to) the Senior Pastor.

While we are searching for a candidate who has a call to youth ministry as well as music, we will consider the role of Minister of Music only for the right candidate. A more detailed view of the descriptions of these linked positions will be discussed during an interview.

Worship Leader Needed:

Cross Pointe Church in Laurinburg, NC is seeking a dynamic worship leader.

The ideal candidate will be Spirit filled and Spirit led, have a solid background in and knowledge of music, be able to direct a worship team, work as a team player, be coachable and have a passion to bring people into God’s presence through worship. The individual must be able to provide a mix of hymns and contemporary music to include all worshippers. The position is part time but could lead to full time.
